InsightIQ root password

Question

hello guys.. can some one help me how to recover the root password , while deploying the insightIQ VM i might changed it but couldn't recalled it now. i am able to login with 'administrator'  so is there anyway i can recover that ? bec i have a requirement to create a new user on this VM with root access.

Now just enter passwd and enter new password for root

cool ...i didn't thought of sudo but bottom line sudo to root is working. so is this the only way to get root access ??  is there any way to recover root password ?

did you try to ssh into the VM and then 'sudo su -'  ..type administrator password

Sounds like you have the filesystem mounted read-only... Are you in single user mode or something?
