Isilon Gen 5 to Gen 6 Migration -
Hello All,
Need assistance with directions on Migration from Gen5 to Gen 6
We have 3 node Gen 5 cluster at prod and DR sites and planning to migrate to 4 Gen6 H nodes. What is the best way to migrate to new nodes ? Can we add Gen6 nodes to Existing 3 node cluster and smart fail the old nodes
Could some one suggest and provide any relevant directions. Appreciate your help

You can use either OneFS or SyncIQ to migrate over your data. Here is the guide to each tool.

To clarify:
OneFS migration if all nodes are Infiniband backend.
SyncIQ migration is Gen5 is Infiniband backend and Gen6 is ethernet backend.
