OneFS 7.1.1.11 Active Directory connection

Hi,

Recently we concluded with the help from @PhilLam that LDAP is nut supported for SMB authentication so I created a Active Directory controller (CentOS 7 based Nethserver 7.9). but for some reason OneFS won't connect to it.

I created a virtual machine with another Nethserver witch was able to connect to it without any issues.

The Isilon cluster can ping the domain name, nslookup finds it as it should.

Could someone help me find the issue why OneFS won't connect to it?

Hi,

Is the Nethserver domain connected to a Windows DC or is it standalone? These links might help.

Hi Josh,

Nethserver is a standalone AD controller, freshly installed.

I have managed to connect (join) to it from another Netserver and a Mint v20 linux, but OneFS won't.

I will check the links you sent me.

Thx

Hi,

Unfortunately none of the links helped, the issue still remains, unable to  connect to Active Directory server

Can you try a Windows based AD server? Maybe it is something with the Nethserver implementation of AD.
