anonymous Session Setup AndX Request
Hi,
I have a CIFS client that I'm trying to use with an Isilon OneFS server, and I'm running into a problem. When my device sends a Session Setup AndX Request to the server it leaves the Account and Primary Domain fields blank. This works fine with other CIFS servers, but the OneFS server rejects the request with a STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE. I have attached a pcap file that shows the request and reply.
Is there any way I can change in my OneFS server configuration to allow this type of anonymous request?
Thanks.

Hi JoeRiggs,
What version of OneFS and what are you settings in the Authentication Souces->Active Directory->Server Mode page?
My gut response is that you have to send something, i.e. Guest or nobody, for this to work.
Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,
I'm running OneFS 7.0.2.1. It's the OneFS Emulator.
I'm looking at the configuration via the web interface. I see a Cluster Management -> Access Management -> Active Directory page, but I don't see the page you described. This is a snapshot of that page. I hope this is the information you're looking for, but I don't think it is.
Thanks for your help,
Joe Riggs

Hi Joe,
I was able to find a support case that was similart to this; around OneFS 5.0 or 5.5 the authentication method changed to require something in these fields. At least a username account must be presented...
Hope that helps,
Matt
