700m and ddr ram
Can someone who knows-not guesses-tell me if the mobo for the 700m uses ddr in dual mode or single channel only.
If it does use ddr in dual mode, will a stick of 256 and a stick of 1gb only run dual channel for 512 of the 1280...and will 2x512s be better tan the 256 and 1gb combo?
Thanks for the info-not your opinions.

hope this info proves useful:
The Inspiron 700m uses PC2700 Synchronous DDR SDRAM. This memory offers a significant increase of memory performance. Memory expansion is accomplished through SODIMM modules of 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, and 1024MB; up to 2 GB total system memory.
2x512 MB (333MHZ) mems would be a better deal for you.the problem is,one of the memory stick in the 700m is located internally, you would have to remove the keyboard, hinge cover etc. to be able to access the other mem stick...
if my tech knowledge is correct, whats important would be the memory speed..the PC 2700 mem for the 700m runs at 333MHz.Also, mixing 333 and 266 MHz memory will force the memory to run at 266 MHz. :smileysurprised:
