AC Adapter for inspiron 17R (7720)

I need a new charger adapter for my 17R. I found this one on my local country store : Dell Euro 130W AC Adapter (XPS L702x / L502x) [450-12063] . is this adapter compitable with my laptop ? i can't find this adapter on Dell's page.

**The laptop supports 90W & 130W (since it has got a intel i7 quad core i went with a 130W Ac adapter because its recommended as standard)

Hi Mr. ChaosKing,

Welcome to Dell Community Forum.

The Inspiron 7720/17R (SE) is offered with 90 W / 130 W AC adapters. Depending on your region, it could be a 2-pin or 3-pin ac adapter. The specifications of your System AC Adapter are as mentioned below:

Input voltage 100 - 240 VAC
Input current (maximum) 1.50 A/1.60 A/1.70 A/2.50 A
Input frequency 50-60 Hz
Output current 3.34 A/4.62 A/6.70 A
Output power 65 W/90 W/130 W
Rated output voltage 19.5 +/- 1 VDC

You can check the status of AC Adapter in BIOS by following these steps:

  • Restart / Power on your computer
  • At the first text on the screen or when the Dell logo appears, tap until the message Entering Setup appears.
  • AC Adapter will be listed in the Main tab with the AC Adapter Type mentioned.

You can also check the Dell website for compatible AC Adapters by clicking on the link below:
