Alienware m11x freezes and beeps on startup
I was using my laptop earlier and it froze, so I turned it off and started it again, it was working normally for a few minutes until it froze again, when I tried to turn it on this time the keyboard lit up, but the screen stayed blank. The fan didn't turn on, and it began beeping in intervals of seven beeps. I am now unable to turn the laptop off, and have no idea how to proceed with fixing it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Semajer,
I am sorry for the inconvenience. Please flea power and check if it helps. Shut the system down, remove the battery and disconnect the ac adapter, press and hold the power button for 20 to 30 seconds. Now connect only the ac adapter and wait for 30 seconds and turn on the system. This will drain any residual charge in the capacitors.
If the 7 beeps at start up persists even after draining residual charge, I suspect it is motherboard failure.
