Battery Won't Charge - Diagnostics Passed
For a few days no, my battery hasn't been able to build up a charge. However, every diagnostic I ran on the thing from the website to BIOS, insists that there isn't a problem with it. I can't tell, does it need to be replaced, or could there be a different problem?

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us. You may try the following troubleshooting steps to determine if it is a battery issue or something else is causing the issue.
1) You may try releasing the flea power by shutting down the laptop. Remove the adaptor and battery. keep the power button of the laptop pressed for 15 to 20 secs. replace the battery and then the adapter and check if its charging fine.
2) Please try a different power slot to charge and check if you are able to charge the battery.
3) Check if the Battery is identified in the BIOS.
4) Remove the batter and check if the laptop works just with the adapter connected to it.
Let me know the results and I will be glad to assist you further.

I released the power like you said, but that hasn't made a difference. It's holding at 2% capacity. The adapter is working properly, I'm certain of that. The laptop's been running off of it all day. One of the diagnostics I ran was some full-system test that I accessed right from boot-up. I think that was BIOS? I'm not entirely certain. The machine definitely acknowledges that the battery is there, and that there's no charge left in it.

I don't see anything anywhere in your profile that says "start conversation." I can't even send you a message directly because "Dell-Sheethal S" doesn't seem to match any username when I try to send one manually. My warranty already ran out, though.
