I would like to know as well. I see many I8100 have done so and I assume they are the same...

I would like to know before I drop $150 for the GF4

Here is some reassuring news...

The C810 uses the same motherboard as the Inspiron 8100.

So far, all of the I8100s that started with a GF2Go have successfully migrated to a GF4GO and the latest bios will even correctly identify it in the BIOS (expect the equivalent c810 bios soon)

Nvidia uses a common bios that detects several laptop cards. So the bios used in the 8100 can also pick up a quadro2go card, but currently the user is having trouble getting the drivers working.

I tried the upgrade on my C810 (w/A12 Bios) but the GeForce 4

is not seen by the OS so theres only VGA functionality. The Dell driver setup is not detecting the GeForce 4 hence no driver is loaded.

I am not interested in flashing an Inspiron 8100 Bios (want to use my C-Port). Is there no way to make the 810 and GeForce4 play together?

thanks, rahbert
