Benchmarks no I don't have any before after. I do a lot of video editing and gaming so after the swap i did notice a slight increase
I did swap my networking card but for reasons that had nothing to do with the processor swap.

Hi,
Thank you again.
May I know which wireless card you added? I'm thinking about getting Intel dual band wireless-AC 7260,
but I'm not sure if it is going to work on it.

Hi,
I bought and installed 3840QM on my l702x, but it won't boot at all.
The screen shows nothing after pressing the power button and there are no beep
sound either.
How did you install and use 3820qm on your l702x? Can you give me more
information? Thanks!

Good morning guys.
Revive this post after so much time stopped
It turns out that I have opened a thread to ask the compatibility of a processor with this same computer Dell l702x, and this thread did not find it (Sorry for administrators).
First of all let me know that I have the Dell 17 l702x GeForce GT 555M, i5 2430M processor, a RAM chip (only has two RAM slots) Crucial Ballistix 1600 mhz DDR3, Windows 8.1 Pro, SSD Samsung 128 PRO, Latest BIOS A19 update, chipset HM67 and the power supply is 150 W.
I wanted to ask if any of you have had the opportunity to test the operation of the i7 2860QM on this computer, or if you know that it really works. Is that I have a friend that has this processor in a box and I would like to put it on my computer.

Forget that CPU - your current one uses 35 W -- installing a 45 W CPU in its place is a recipe for overheating and instability.

Thanks for answering.
It turns out that a friend of mine has the 2860QM at home and does not use it, and I have seen on occasion that there are people who have put it and wanted to make sure their compatibility with this computer. I have also found that this same computer comes out of the factory with i7 processors, so I have the doubt of compatibility. Thank you very much!
