Can I replace the EIDE HDD in my Inspiron 8100 with a SATA HDD?

I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop.  The HDD is making horibble clicking noises and I'm afraid it will die at any moment now... The current drive is the original IBM TravelStar 60Gb EIDE (IC25T060ATCS05-0) that came with the machine from Dell.  I have copied an image of the drive using Acronis Ture Image software and now I just need to install a new HDD and copy the image onto the new drive.

I have a 100Gb 2.5" SATA HDD that I would like to use for this... Is this possible?  Is there any kind of adapter that I can use that will allow the use of a SATA drive in this laptop?

Thanks!

No, there are no adapters - the only way to use a SATA drive in this model is in a USB case as external.  Internal is EIDE/PATA only.
