Can't boot from CD to update Nvidia Bios
Hello,
I have a XPS 1730 and there is a new bios for my Nvidia video cards here on the Dell driver support page. The instructions say to download the .exe file, run it, and then burn the resulting .iso file onto media and re-boot to that media.
I burned the .iso file onto a CD, had the Roxio burner close the CD, and then rebooted to computer. I hit F12 to get into the computer's BIOS set up and I eliminated everything but the CD / DVD drive from the boot sequence. Then, I saved and escaped out and had the computer reboot again.
After trying to access the CD drive for a few moments, I got a message saying that the computer could not find a bootable device.
And, this is where I'm stuck.
Any ideas?
Thanks very much in advance.

You cannot simply write the ISO file to a CD - you must use the "write image" function to extract the ISO and write the boot sector to the CD.
