Change bios configuration latitude cp M233ST

I have problems to change the bios options of a dell latitude cp M233ST . I can enter to the set up, i can see all the options and move through them but I can't change them with the left and right arrows or any other key.

How can i change the options?, I need to change the boot sequence, thank you.

hi,

if i remember correctly the CP series also have an option in the bios that prevents people from changing settings and allow to view settings.

Check the bios for a field to enter that password, i think it should be located on page 2, and is called something like 'admin password' or 'primary password'.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

You can get a master password specific to your system from dell - but only if you are the registered user for your system.

If you can prove you are the owner, you're okay.

If you can contact the previous owner and he agrees to transfer the ownership to you, look here.

Otherwise i guess you're stuck... or left to bios hacking that may cause more damage than good and may even leave you with a dead system.

Hope this helps.
