Concerned about doing BIOS Upgrade from A05 to A25

I recently bought a new battery from Dell and it comes bundled with a CD containing a BIOS upgrade to A25.
My concern is that my Dell Latitude C600 notebook has installed A05 BIOS version and I am afraid of having problems doing an update from/to very distant BIOS versions.
Could you advise me about potentially risks doing this upgrade?
I wouldn't have a freezed notebook after doing the upgrade.
Thanks

Whatever you do, don't interupt the BIOS upgrade programming. I did (after it appeared to be in a loop) and then it needed a new motherboard to fix my D800.

There is no A25 BIOS Upgrade for a C600; A23 is the latest. With rare exceptions with later models when Dell switched to its own BIOS versions from Phoenix BIOS, just do it in one jump, but make sure you use the right  version for your board, and use the floppy method. The Harddrive method is probably the cause of MOY's displeasure.

Thanks Leduke for your advice, you are right, the last BIOS version for Latitude C600 is A23.
Thanks also for the Moy's reply.
As you know; I'm afraid of having problems doing an update from/to very distant BIOS versions (A05 to A23).
If everything seems running ok, is it a wise decision to upgrade the BIOS not knowing what are the advantages it has and the risks of having a destroyed motherboard doing that upgrade?
Thanks again for your help.

Never have I had a bad flash using the floppy method. I have had 2 previous C600s pass through my hands and another at present, all with A23, and no BIOS problems. Read this TXT file for the improvements made in each version
