Creative MediaSoure 5 Player has stopped working
I have an Inspiron E1705 running Windows Vista.
Sound blaster Audigy advanced MB suite works fine, but a little while ago the MediaSource 5 Player (only) had stopped working. I can open and run Media Source Go and the other programs within it!
I have sound but I just can not open MediaSource 5 Player!
I get a Microsoft Windows box (which says)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Creative MediaSource 5 Played has stopped working - - -
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've run all of the Creative and Dell updates and nothing has corrected this problem!
Any idea as to what may have changed or if this is a problem Microsoft is (or maybe) working on or if Dell may know anything about it? Creative Labs seems to: don't know, don't care!
Thank You
Inspiron E1705 (Laptop)
Windows Vista
CPU: Core 2, 2GHz
RAM Memory: 2GB
Ready Boost: 1.46 GB

Have you tried to run Creative Software AutoUpdate?
Also try opening Creative System Information, then see if it will run to detect your systems hardware, and possibly detect what the problem is.It will then show you the report and send one to creative.
Have installed Creatives new MediaSource driver?....http://support.creative.com/Downloads/welcome.aspx .
The page i linked above has the driver, and it also has the mediasource CD plug-in,try installing this also.

Creative auto update does not support Windows Vista.
I tried the Vista (32-Bit) updates (again) and still the Player well not work, also the CD plug-in well not install! No supported system found!
I have know idea where to find the "Creative System Infomation" program to be able to run it!
Thanks for the help anyway

Yes, I know Creative Labs supports Windows Vista!
I'm sorry, but you misunderstood! I said; Creative Labs Autoupdater currently does not support Windows Vista!

Have you entered an active PC music library,or has the library been removed?...
When setting up mediasource player,an active music library has to be set before the player can be activated.

That's the problem then. What was your previous operating system?
