D600 IE graphics fuzzy

I have a new D600 running XP and using the internal LCD at 1400x1050 resolution.  Many websites, when viewed in Internet Explorer, have very fuzzy or blurry graphic elements.  When viewing the same sites on my HP laptap at the same resolution everything looks clear and sharp.  Another guy at work got the same machine and has the same problem.  Presumably it's a setting or software version issue.  Any ideas?
