D600 display bumpers

My irresistible curiosity drives me to disassemble everything. I am almost always able to put things together again. However, I've run into problems with the D600's display bumpers (those that cover the screw holes). They do not stick anymore and without them the lid touches the keyboard when closed, not talking about the frustration of looking at six screw heads all the time... ;)

I have tried several glues but with no success. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If it aint broke, dont fix it.......The rubbers have some double sided tape on the back, which often comes off when removing. ( same as the feet ) I would clean off any glue and use " contact cement ". This wont melt anything, and you will be able to take it apart again. It will hold on much better than the original tape.

Unfortunately, I did not succeed with a contact cement. It simply does not stick to the rubber the bumpers are made of. :(
