D630 (Intel graphics / port replicator) => Dual Monitors?

In short, will the D630 support dual monitors when plugged into a port replicator?

If so, should I buy a splitter for the DVI cable or will I need to put one monitor on the port replicator's DVI output and the other monitor on the port replicator's VGA output?

Thanks for the assistance.

We have D630s at work with an nVidia 256 MB video card (not sure which one), and we get dual output using VGA and DVI.  I'm not sure if a splitter would work.

Yes, it works great.  We have both D620's and D630 running two monitors using the port replicator.  One runs off DVI and the other VGA.  Right now mine is running one monitor at 1920x1080 on DVI and the other is running at 1680x1050 on VGA.

Thanks to you both!

@ptmurphy:

Does one of your systems, by chance, try splitting the DVI to two monitors?

Since I will have two identical monitors on my desktop, I'd like the two displays to look identical as well. If it can't happen, I suppose I can live with it.

I do not think you can split the DVI into two individual monitors and extend you desktop.  One has to be VGA and the other DVI, from my experience.
