Dead battery and charger
Hello
I want to ask a few questions concerning my computer's battery and charger. I have a Dell Inspiron and I have been using it for over two years. My laptop's battery ceased to work a few months ago, displaying the message that reads that the battery isn't working and should consider replacing it. Since my charger was working fine, I continued to work with the computer pluged in all the time. The issue now is that a new message appears every time I turn it on: "The computer can't recognize the charger, the system will adapt to the amount of energy supplied. Please connect a Dell 65W AC adapter or higher for best system operation."
I bought a new AC 65 watt charger but the message continues to appear.
Should I buy a new battery as well?
Does it damage my computer to use it only with a new AC charger but keeping the old battery?
Why does the message concerning the charger continues to appear even after I have replaced the AC charger with a new one?
Please help me with any advice or information you have

My computer is a Inspiron N5010, The new adaptor has input: AC 100-240V 50-60Hz output: DC 19.5 V 4.62 A.

If you have tried another Dell OEM (NOT third party) adapter to no effect, depending on model, the next thing to replace is the DC jack (if it's replaceable; post the model of your system). If that doesn't do it, the mainboard is faulty.
A new battery will not solve this - you need to get the AC adapter recognized or the battery will not charge.
