Dead pixel line that is fixed with left side pressure
Inspiron 6000 1920 X 1200 LCD I have a single horizontal line of grey pixels that are somewhat reactive to change (they will go to black if I run the cursor over them for a while) appeared randomly. It was first fixed with a slap and was fine for a few days. They reappeared occationally and were fixed by gently pushing on the left side of the LCD perimeter cover at the point of the horizontal dead pixel line intersection. Now however, it takes a reasonable amount of pressure to get them to disappear and they reappear upon release. I first thought it might be a video connection to the MB but I don't think it is. I don't know enough about LCD anatomy to understand what the problem could be. Are there connectors for every pixel line running on the left side? Is it possible to pop it open and reinsert the individual pixel line connectors (if they exist). I have been looking for a good anatomy chart for the LCD but haven't run across one. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
