Dell D600 Laptop - Audio Driver - Not available on Dell Support
Hello I have re-built an old Dell Latitude D600.
Got all the XP drivers online and it is working perfectly except for the audio driver. When I try to download from the Dell Support page (Sigmatel - Driver) the download does not start and opens an IE Cannot Display the webpage error?
Anyone know if this is being fixed by Dell or I'd be ever so grateful if anyone can point me to some place else to download a copy.
Many Thanks and regards.

That driver is the Sigmatel R90698. You can get it here
http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/249578/dell-inspiron-8600-notebook-sigmatel-stac-9750-ac97-driver-v.5.10.0.3952-windows-vista-32-bit-xp-free-download.html
1. Scroll halfway down the page to a text box where you type in a recognition code (to prove you are not a robot).
2. Then click on "Download this driver for your device from open drivers".
3. You go to another page with several links. Only click on the one named "R90698.exe <<--Backup Server". Do not click "Drivers (Download Now)" or any of the other links on that page.
Don't know if Dell is going to fix this or not.

Cheers Jim - this worked. Great site - I've bookmarked that.

Martin,
FYI -- Dell's link to the driver mentioned in this thread is apparently working again.

Cheers Jim - I am already sorted from your earlier post.
Thanks anyway, I actually learnt more by the fact Dell's site wasn't working!!!
