Please Dell Fix this issue. Thanks

Please run the diagnostics on the laptop by following the steps mentioned in the video below and check if there is any issue with the hardware on your system.

Thanks for your reply.

Actually my laptop screen is blank/black nothing is appearing on it. So it is not possible to run the diagnostic.

On my laptop there is no beep, no display and only Power LED is ON all other LED's are OFF.

HDD, DVD, Fan are running as well.

Please help me to fix this problem. Thanks

Hi musharraf1992,

I’d suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and check for issue resolution.

  1. Switch off the computer.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter from the system.
  3. Remove the battery from the computer.
  4. Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
  5. Then connect back all the peripherals and check for issue resolution.

Also, I would suggest you reseat a few components, like memory, hard drive and optical drive and see if that makes a difference. In the link below punch in the system service tag or express service code and you can access the user manual for removing and reseating components.

Please let me know if this helps.

I have done everything you mentioned but no success.

I hope there is some other way to fix this problem.

Thanks for reply.

The solution is a replacement mainboard, though it may not make economic sense on an older low-end model like this one -- a replacement system may make more sense.
