Dell Inspiron Touchpad- pointer move in opposite direction.

Hi Team,

I am using Touchpad of Dell Inspiron 3520 , when I go left right its work fine but

when I try to scoll up and down it goes down n up(vice versa).

I check for driver update but its showing up to date.

Hi ankit,

I would suggest you to uninstall the touchpad completely and reinstall the drivers. please follow the steps below:

  • Press ‘Windows’ key + R on ‘Desktop’ screen
  • Type ‘devmgmt.msc’ in run box and press ‘Enter’
  • Click > sign next to ‘Mice and Other pointing Device’
  • Right click the entry listed under  ‘Mice and Other pointing Device’ and click ‘Uninstall’
  • Click ‘Yes’ on the security warning

Remove the ‘Touchpad’ application from ‘Programs and Features’. To remove the application:

  • Click ‘Start’
  • Click ‘Control Panel’
  • Click ‘Programs and Features’
  • Right click on ‘Touchpad’ and click ‘Uninstall’
  • Restart the computer

You may install the latest drivers from the link: http://dell.to/10dYR4C

hope this helps. Please reply if you have any further questions.
