Dell Latitude D430 Power button heats up.
Hi.
First, sorry if this is in the wrong place. Now, my Dell latitude D430 power button heats up whenever I turn it on. It actually burns when I touch it. Not enough to cause any damage to my fingers luckily. I am guessing its the CPU getting to hot and this heat is travelling to the power button. After it first happened I took the laptop apart (warranty ran out a while ago) and cleaned it out, applied new thermal paste to the cpu and checked the fan was working, which it was. Before the button started heating up, my laptop blue screened and I didn't pick the laptop back up for a few weeks.
Safe to say the laptop is screwed? Or is there a chance I can fix it?
Thank you!
