Dell Precision M4800 don't have backlight keyboard
Dear all,
I bought an RFB Dell Precision M4800 (Tag:<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>).When I used my laptop in the ark. My keyboard hadn't been enlighten.
I tried follow some suggestion as: install Dell Feature Enhancement Pack v2.2.1
But I didn't find "Dell Keyboard Backlight Settings" on control panel as guidance.
Can you tell me what happened with my keyboard & solution?
Thanks

Hi truongqk2302,
Thanks for the post! After updating the “Dell Features Enhancement Pack” or the “Dell Command Power Manager” you should be provided the backlit keyboard options by navigating to the Start menu >> Control Panel >> Keyboard >> Backlight. The keyboard shortcut ‘FN’+’→’ should also enable/disable the keyboard backlight after the enhancement/manager software is installed.
If the keyboard still will not work I would suggest making absolutely sure the hardware installed is the backlit model, checking the hardware specs on your order or if the backlight symbol in not present on your systems ‘→’ (right arrow key) the keyboard installed in not a backlit model.

To reseat/replace your systems keyboard please see section 16 of the service manual - ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_precision_mobile/precision-m4800-workstation_Owner's%20Manual_en-us.pdf

Thanks, My laptop isn't backlit model (I don't found the icon backlit on '->')
By the way, I have a problem with the screen. It's auto adjust bright.
Although, I changed it by choosing control->power options->change plan settings->change advances power settings
But it didn't work.
Can you have any idea? I went to BIOS but I don't see any options for edit it.
THanks
