Dell XPS 12 Ghosting Images/Burn in

I noticed the Ghosting a few months back and recently began Googling for information. In my search results amongst a lenghty list of Dell Support Forum posts about this issue I came across this article: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2109141/dell-replacing-displays-on-xps-12-hybrids-with-burn-in-issues.html

I also found this article: http://thevarguy.com/computer-technology-hardware-solutions-and-news/031914/dell-replace-faulty-displays-xps-12-convertibles

and

news.softpedia.com/.../Dell-XPS-12-Users-Complain-of-Burn-In-Display-Issues-Dell-Is-Offering-Screen-Replacements-for-Free-432921.shtml

The article states that Dell is replacing affected screens even for units that are out of warranty. Mine is out of warranty now so I was relieved that they had acknowledged the issue and were actually doing something about it. So I called customer support and was told that because my unit is out of warranty there was nothing they could do. I'm hoping someone here has information that can get me pointed in the right direction for a resolution to the issue. Thanks for your help!

I called Dell Support, Dell Out of Warranty and they rejected my request to replace my display. I was told its been 2 year out of warranty. I opened a case with the BBB and working on a complaint with Consumer Protection Agency. I have also hired an ***.
