Dell XPS 15z Fan Stopped working L511Z

Hi RAGA007,

Does the system overheat? When did the issue start? Does the system work all the time when hot or does it turn off? Are there any bluescreens / system crashes?

Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/1F4dD2v - restart the system and check again. Reinstall the video drivers from the support site if required and check and run the diagnostics again.

Download the service manual from the above link and clean the airvents and fan assembly with a small vacuum cleaner or a can of compressed air and reapply the thermal grease on the heatsink and check.

If the issue is not resolved, then replace the fan assembly.
