Dell XPS L710X wireless problems with Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAXX 6250
Just purchased a Dell XPS L710x laptop and I am having wireless connection problems. At random time my wireless turns off and cannot be restarted. It says the hardware radio switch is turned off. When I try to reconnect it says that there are no networks found. So I open Windows Mobility Center and the tab to turn on wireless is greyed out so I cannot even turn it on. Also I tyry to use the F2 key and it makes no difference. So I have to reboot and then it lets me turn my wireless back on at the Windows Mobility pop-up window. Is anybody else having this problem? I have the Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMaxx 6250, which I paid extra for. I also see Dell is not offering this on my laptop anymore and I only recieved mine a month ago. Could there be problems with the Adapter card??? I have posted a link for the card. Please help!

Hi Carbiebash,
Welcome to the Community. Have your tried updating your wireless card driver off the support site. Below is the link where you can download and install the driver.
I guess you are talking about the Dell XPS L701X, because Dell does not have an XPS L710X. There is no wireless switch on this model. To turn on the wireless switch you will need to Hold down the FN key and tap the F2 key.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem! I have a Dell Inspirion purchased in late 2010 and also have a Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN. I installed the driver update recommended in this thread and last night had the same problem, sudden drop of wireless, can't fix without reboot and then sometimes it still is not fixed with out more diagnostics. It appears that the adapter is disabled at random. Very Annoying!!! I wonder if it has something to do with the WiMax capability because I often see a small dialog box on bottom rioght screen that will say "Wimax disabled". Any suggestions for how to fix this problem are much appreciated!

I have this on my L501X with 6250. Sounds like a 6250 defect to me. I'll be calling for hardware replacement if I don't see a resolution on this this week. I've already had premium support replace all my drivers and dell quickset. Problem persists. Dead radio, about 1-2 times per day.

This sounds well and good, but I cannot access the internet from this unit at all! Even with it directly connected.
It says the drivers for this device are not installed code 28
so without being able to access internet...how do I update this or install this?!?!?!?
