Dell xps 17 l702x multi touch doesn't work on all programs...

I just got a dell xps 17 l702x and I got a big problem with the trackpad...
The multi touch scrolling doesn't work with all the programs. It work perfectly on windows and on chrome, but it just doesn't in firefox and trillian. I just got the laptop and just performed a full format, I reinstalled the drivers.... dunno what to do next... any ideas?
