Dock, that came with my computer has disappeared

There was a docking feature, when you scroll your mouse across top of screen, it would have an e-mail icon; microsoft office; webcam; manual; help and more. It has disappeared and I don't know how to get it back.

If you can't find it anywhere, and think it may have been deleted, you can always download it again (for free) from

Good Luck!

Yes, I had one too. Mine has disappeared as well but because of installing a new hard drive. If memory serves me correctly, you can access dock settings where you edit administrative settings such as your password. Hope that helped.

I have suddenly lost my Delldock as well and no matter what I try, including re-installation, I get a box up telling me that Dell Dock has encountered problems with a little box to tick to restart but on clicking 'Send Error Report' I get an error answre in another box. I am pulling my hair out trying to get round this and Dell are no help.

Hi hiram04,

I suggest that you uninstall the existing 'Dell Dock' and then try reinstalling it. The following steps will help you do the same:

Go to Start menu> Control Panel> Programs and features. Once the programs window opens, locate the 'Dell Dock and uninstall by right clicking on it. Once done, restart the system and install the Dell Dock from the following link:

www.delldock.com

I hope this helps.

Please let me know in case of any queries.

Thanks and regards
