Duplicate screen on Latitude E6230 doesnt work

Hello,

I have a user with a Dell Latitude E6230 laptop. Whenever he uses a projector, he is able to Duplicate the laptop's screen But if he uses an external monitor (Television), he is unable to duplicate his screen.

He has Intel HD Graphics 4000 with driver version9.17.10.3347. The monitor shows up as PnP generic monitor with driver version 6.1.7600.16385.

Thanks,

Sandeep

Hi ,

In this situation we suspect the kind of connector being used. The systems hardware is working fine since when a projector is connected we are able to duplicate the display .

So request you to confirm what kind of connector cable are you using to connect the monitor and to which port you are connecting it to .

I hope this helps. Please feel free to write to us in case of any further queries.
Have a great day ahead !

Kindest Regards,

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback. We are using a VGA cable which works fine on other Dell laptops. The cable is connected to a standard 15 pin VGA port on the concerned laptop.

Is there anything else we can troubleshoot?

Thanks,

Sandeep

Hi ,

Thank you for the reply.

I would suggest you to confirm if these troubleshooting steps have been tried ,

1)Are you using a vga converter cable from the system to the monitor .

2)Kindly update the video drivers and the system BIOS .

Do reply to this community thread with the test results.

Kindest Regards,
