E6420 screen problems on start up
Hi,
my E6420 laptop frequently doesn't start up properly but shows a coloured, snowy screen exactly like this:
I have to repeatedly press the power button until it finally boots properly.
What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks for writing to us.
When did the issue start?
If you swing the screen back and forth does it makes any difference?
Please try on an external monitor and let us know the outcome.
if the display is fine on an external monitor the issue is with LCD, if there is a difference while swinging the screen should be a problem with LCD kit.
Also try running LCD test by shutting down the system , then hold down the letter D and power up the machine after 5 secs let go the Letter D, let us know what you see on the screen.
