Fan runs all the time on my Inspiron 3721

My new laptop Inspiron 3721 just arrived and the fan runs continuously!!  It is not hot either. I called and Dell ran the diagnostics but it still runs all the time??? Is this normal?

Hi JohnnyT49,

Try updating the BIOS in the system using the link below.

Did you get any error message during diagnostics??

Fan runs continuously, fan RPM high, all the time:

1st update bios with new bios from Dell driver, very important look up your model number carefully!!  Get the correct bios....warning!! Bios update!! Can cause system not to boot used at your risk! However Dell bios is easy and safe

! 2nd. Go into bios, Press F2 ... Enter bios... Tab on top to security look down to look  computrace -its disable as default

umportant activate it, .......warning it will disable functions bios and harddrive password,

For me it was worth it,

Good luck!! Work for me
