Folders randomly appearing on desktop

I just got a new Studio XPS and am running Windows 7 64 bit on it.  For some reason, just for the past couple days, whenever I start up the laptop a folder marked as "Favorites" appears on the desktop. I open the folder and nothing is inside. I delete it and it appears back in 20(ish) minutes or whenever I power up the laptop. I even tried going into the Recycle Bin and Shift+Del to permanently delete it, but it comes right back anyway.

What is going on and how can I make it stop? It's really annoying and rather concerning.
