HELP?!?! I have no idea what im doing.
i have a dell inspiron min 1018. when i turn it on, the dell screen pops up, the blue bar fills, it flashes to the screen with the blinky underscore, goes black and repeats this behavior over and over in rapid succession. please, i dont know what to do. tried f8 f11 taking out the battery and holding the power.

Most likely, the hard drive is toast - to test it, and hold the D key at powerup and boot to the Dell diagnostics.
