HELP! New Inspiron B120 widescreen display

I need help!  I just bought a new Inspiron B120 with 14.1 Widescreen display and the display of pictures is horrible.  I contacted Dell technical support and they told me that is the way the widesceen format displays photos.  When surfing the internet the letters and pictures are edgy and pixelated ( that is the best way for me to explain) not smooth and clear.  I cannot believe I have to settle for this display.  The tech told me to return it!  What a solution.  They only have one notebook that is NOT widescreen.  Can anyone help me or explain the difference in this WIDESCREEN (WXGA) versus regular screen (XGA).  I have searched the forum but unsuccessfully found anyone with the same complaint.  I went to Goggle and looked at some images 1200x800 and there was no change.
Any info would be great.

I don't know how horrible the display is, but there should be no big difference btw widescreen and normal XGA.

What is the display card/adaptor of your B120?

Have you changed any setting about the computer (especially about display), after you get the laptop from shipping?

NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 that is my display adapter.  I have changed the display settings and they enlarge my fonts and icons but do not change photos of any kind.  When I am on Ebay the photos are somewhat edgy and pixelated.  Same goes for any photos  and some lettering.  The tech at Dell told me that happens when you are trying to view pictures of a low resolution, that I should be able to view pics at 1200x800 or higher perfectly.  I tried that and saw no difference.  Any suggestions?
