Help with SSD upgrade on my Dell laptop

Hi. I currently own a Dell Inspiron 14 7460. It came installed with 128 gb M.2 SSD and a 500 gb HDD. Now I would want to upgrade the ssd to an M.2 Samsung evo 850 500 gb but Im not sure if the laptop supports it.

I tried looking for the manual via the website but the technical manual for the 7460 is lumped in a generic manual for the entire 7000 series.

I just want to be sure as the SSD isn't cheap, anyone else who owns this laptop who upgraded the SSD? or anyone who knows if it is compatible?

Can you confirm whether it worked, after empty slot on the motherboard looks like that of a NVMe slot not the SATAIII M.2 on 850 EVO.

Hi

I have an Inspiron 7460 with 1TB normal HDD, I am planning to add a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD. But after seeing the motherboard I am confused, the available SSD slot on the motherboard looks like that of a NVMe and not the SATA III M.2.

The SATA III M.2 has 2 slots and NVMe has 1 slot, the emplty slot on the motherboard has only 1 slot. Can anyone confirm which of the below mentioned is compatible tihe 7460? Thanks.
