How To Disable The Touchpad For Latitude E5520 Running windows 7
Hi Guys
One of our users has an issue with the cursor jumping when she's typing on her laptop. This is happening in numerous programs not just Microsoft word 2010. I've looked at numerous forums and one of thethings suggestioned is to disable the touch pad. Does anyone know how to do this on a E5520 laptop? I don't have the laptop with me as the user is working from home today. I've looked online and I can't find any details specific to this model which explain how to do it.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
You may try the key combination Fn+F5 to disable the touchpad.
However disabling the Touchpad is a workaround. This issue can be troubleshot and fixed. I would suggest you to update the Touchpad drivers from Here.
Once the driver is installed you can change the Touchpad settings:
Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse -> Dell Touchpad to change the settings.
Hope this helps.
