How can I program a media center remote to work through the internal reciever?

I bought a media center remote and it only works with the usb reciever that came with it.  The little remote that came with my xps notebook works through an internal reciever.  How can i program my MC remote so that I dont need to carry around that usb plug in? If the little remote works without a plug in, it stands to reason that the other remote can as well.  Thanks for any help!

Look at this thread: http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_general&message.id=290738#M290738

It's definitely possible on a Studio computer - not sure about XPS computers.

Ok, so i found out I can upload drivers for the internal "consumer ir receiver".  So, does anyone know where i can find a driver that will run my remote through the internal ir receiver? My remote is model number RRS9002-86XXF.  It is just simply a generic windows media center remote.  Also, If I upload a driver that makes it work, will the travel remote that was originally intended to work, still work? Can I have both drivers running at once? Thanks!
