Hi,
Welcome to the Community.
Inspiron N5110 has one USB 2.0 port that's on the left side and two USB 3.0 port (one on the right and other on the rear side).
Are the USB 3.0 ports not working and only the USB 2.0 port is working?
You can find the updated driver for USB 3.0 in the link below:
www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
Hope this helps,
Thank You
Roshan

Hi engmmd,
Did you try installing the driver for USB 3.0 from the link on my previous post? There is no special technique to install chipset driver, however after installing the windows, when you start installing the drivers you need to follow a order in which the drivers are installed.
Refer to the link below installing drivers in correct order:
support.dell.com/.../document
Thank You
Roshan.

The Vostro 1015 has USB 2.0 only - there are no USB 3.0 ports in the system.

Then why did your link refer to the Vostro 1015?
This is the USB 3.0 driver
www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
BEFORE you install it, these two MUST BE installed first:
www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
and
www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
