How do I check the temperature my XPS M1530?
I just recently received my new laptop, had it now for about 4-5 days. I do moderate gaming, not a hardcore gaming or anything and so far I've realized it runs games that I like, basically flawlessly.
My main concern with this is, I know laptops tend to overheat and I've not had a dell up to this point. I really want to check the temperature of my CPU and such, but I have no idea how to check.
Also, if anybody can give me a temperature range, something like..Average, low, dangerously high, etc..That'd be much appreciated. But my main concern is trying to figure out how to check the CPU temperature so I don't melt anything by accident. I'm not overclocking or anything, it's on default settings.
My old desktop which is quite good as well, I just went to BIOS setup and it just had it simply available right there, so I could monitor it. But if there's a way to check the temperature please let me know, and the temperature of various things that I must know, from your own experiences.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

coretemp, hwmonitor are a few you can download for free. most will show temp of all sensored hardware. mine shows hd, gpu, cpu temps
just google any of these names and you can download them

i8kfangui is designed for dell laptops and shoudl allow you access to all the temp sensors.
normal temperatures depends on the laptop model. Give a model and the specs for it and you can get a temperature range.

18kfangi duoes not support xps m1530, It starts to install, then aborts, the web shows that m1530, m1330, m1730 are not on supported list
