How do you open the MAXXAudio control from the desktop ? XPS 15 L501X
Hi,
Maybe I'm missing something here, but how do you open the MAXXAudio control from the desktop ?
I've looked but can't find a shortcut, gadget or application for MAXXaudio anywhere.
(I want to get to the headphone MAXXbass settings without having to open the laptop and hit the touch-sensitive waves button)
I have an XPS 15 L501X Win7-64bit

Hi,
The MaxxAudio controls are located in the Realtek Audio control panel, which should have a shortcut in the task bar, or in the control panel.
If you can't find it it means you need to install the Realtek Audio driver, best to download it using Dell support site.
The best way however is to use the MaxxAudio3 shortcut that is on the keyboard launch pad, if you click and it doesn't work you need to install Dell Quick access.

Ok, I found it now after a reboot. I'd just installed Win7 sp1, so maybe it hadn't loaded properly after that ??
Anwyay, for anyone else, there is an icon in the system tray (looks like a black speaker)
And it's in the control panel under Hardware and Sound > Realtek HD Audio Manager - you can create a desktop shortcut from this icon by right clicking on it.
