How to get e7240 to recognize my bt headset for VOIP calls?

Hey folks,

Today I got a Plantronics Voyager Edge bluetooth headset. I'm trying to use it with my Dell e7240 laptop with Windows 7, to use Lync or Skype.

I was able to pair it successfully, but after that I cannot get this to appear in either app as a choice.

Can someone provide some troubleshooting steps? Here are some relevant screenshots:
