How to re-enable audio device on startup (i5150)?
My daughter recently had to have Windows XP re-installed on her 5150 (long story). Now on boot up her laptop has no sound. I'm sure it's not a driver problem because all she has to do is go to Device Manager and manually enable the SigmaTel C-Major audio device; the sound is fine until the next reboot.
I assume the device is just not being enabled on startup, but I don't know how to enable it. I've used F2 to access the BIOS, the audio device shows up on page 1, but I don't see a way to enable it. I've looked at MSCONFIG and I don't see it there either. How do I set the audio device to automatically enable on boot?
