How to upgrade a Dell D830 system from 32bit with Won XP to64bit with Win 7
Dear all my friends:
I'm using a Dell Latitude D630 Windows XP Pro 32bit system. Now I think I can upgrade it to 64bit with Win 7 in order to be upgraded RAM to 8GB instead of onlty 4GB.
P L E A S E , instruct me clearly. Thanks.

Hi T. Le,
Your system takes DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 4GB per slot for a total of 8GB.
However, you need to run the Upgrade Advisor to determine what hardware and software issue you might run into. I believe your model can run a 64-bit OS.

Dear Osprey:
Thanks so much for your advice. I did download and installed MS Windows Advosor; but it cannot run to check my system and encountered error; even I did disable Symanrect Firewall and anti-virus programs. Please. help.
Once again, thank you.
