HydraVision
Hi all,
I have a ATI Radeon 9000, but I think this driver isn't worth much. I would like to use HydraVision which enables to use multiple screens and other powerfull things like switching easy from screen A to B and virsa versa.
When are these drivers available for the Inspiron 8200?
Why was my previous Inspiron 8200 with a Nvidia equiped with better software? (There I could choose which window could be opened in which screen)
Thank you for clearing this up.

Flokky:
Unfortunately Dell doesn't support use of the ATI HydraVision software with our portable systems using the ATI Radeon 9000. I apologize for this inconvenience.

I agree that it would be a nice feature (I use it on my desktop PC). If enough customers ask for it, there's always the possibility.

Hi,
I have an Inspiron8200 2.2 ATI M9000
I just downloaded hydravision applet http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/misc/hydravision3-00-120.html
and it works a treat, the only thing that I have noticed strange is on bootup I get a warning that an ati driver isn't loaded and I just click reset and it then I have full control over multi desk etc.
regards John

Snadge,
Yes, I've tried that too. I've got the same warning on start up. I would rather like that my driver doesn't give any warnings on start up though.
I hope other Dell Customers will 'complain' and hopefully this feature - which is very handy - will be included in the next ATI M9000 drivers.
Thank you for your 'investigation'

Hi Flokky,
the only reason it gives a warning is due to hydravision loading it's applet before the ati drivers, clicking reset just initializes the hydravison applet after the video driver is initialized.
hope this helps

I install the HydraVision 2 week ago, havn't any warning.
My driver is the leaked 6200 driver, not the catalyst 2.4 2600c.

hi,
I just received my inspiron 600m and it looks ok, I liked it.. one question does anyone know if it's ok to download and run HydraVision from ati's page.. I really need it because of the "always on top" selection (I do not really need other options though)..
Are there anyone installed this?? negative positive comments?? any thoughts??
I have 9000m radeon 32mb video card on it.
