Inspiron 1150

I bought a laptop (Inspiron 1150) in July 2004 in the US. My daughter is using the laptop in England while she is studying abroad. The laptop fell and the monitor is gone. Does anyone know how I would go about replacing the monitor in the UK?

in fact just to add, www.portables.co.uk seem to do a repair service. they apparently do refurbished screens for around £120 and low cost repair. But have a look on their site anyways

u can call dell tech support and if u have completecare warranty if will not cost u anything to have it fixed (also if it covers internationally). But if not then u will have to fork out an arm and leg to have it repaired by Dell, a friend of mine was quoted nearly £500 for screen. Might as well get a new computer. You could find a local comp shop. Try looking on Ebay for parts, then u need to find someone to fix it for u. Also try www.portables.co.uk
But it also can be fixed yourself (i.e not by professional shop) by reading the service manual on the Dell site. Can't remember the link though. Hope this helps!
