Inspiron 1300/B130 inverter issues
The screen of my Inspiron 1300 started acting up a week or two ago, turning itself dark, flickering off, etc. The general consensus among the support community seemed to be an inverter issue. I oredered a replacment inverter, the one that everyone claimed was the right one for the 1300/B130. Once I got the case open, though, it is not even close to fitting. The inverter everyone online said I needed was an IV12139/T-LF. The one inside the machine itself was an IVIII45/T-LF. Looking for those online, they seem to mounted entirely differently than mine is.
What to do? The one I ordered, which is evidently for this model, does not fit. The one I took off, when I try to find it online, doesn't look as though it would fit either, as it was not even made for this model
Now what? Ideas?

There is no single inverter for your system - Dell ships notebooks with a small short-list of screens -- and the inverter is specific to the screen you have. Take two otherwise identical B130s - one with an AUO screen and the other with an LG screen, and the inverters will not interchange.
You need exactly the same invernter you have now as a replacement - nothing else will work. Try searching for the inverter by the make and model of the LCD panel.

"doesn't look as though it would fit either, as it was not even made for this model".
You have to remember the 1300/B130 came in 14" and 15.4" versions.

It is an AUO B154EW01. Can't seem to find inverters sold separately for them, but seems like lots of those displays available. Would any of them fit in my machine, or were they or the inverters customized for the B130's? I'd to go through the same scenario twice - the right model screen/inverter but not fitting in my 1300 for whatever reason...
Thanks for your help.
