Inspiron 1564 Will Not Start Up?
Greetings,
I'll get to the point right away. My Dell Inspiron doesn't start up for some weird reason. I was using it normally one day and the other it won't start up.
I tried taking out the adapter and battery and holding the power button, but it doesn't work. The blue light on the adapter shines but not on the laptop, meaning it's not charging apparently? My warrantry is gone.
Can someone please help me? Thanks!

The laptop still won't start up, any other ideas? The charging light still doesn't light up.

Unplug the system and remove the battery. Hold the power button for 30 sec.
Remove and reinstall the memory module(s).
Plug in the AC adapter only - see if the system will start up. If it will, but won't with the battery installed, the battery is bad. If it still won't power up on AC only, the mainboard is bad.
