Inspiron 15R SE, touchpad orange light doesn't work!!!!!
Good day
When I disabled the touch-pad (by Fn+F3) the touch-pad is disabled but the orange light indicator doesn't work
It worked before very well I don't know what is the problem?
I uninstalled and reinstalled the touch-pad driver again but there is no change
I'm working on win 8 64 bit

Hi abdo9119,
Please let me know if the light glows when you disable the touchpad from the Dell Touchpad software utility. Also, does the touchpad gets disabled and enabled when you press the Fn + F3 repeatedly even if the touchpad light does not lit up.
Open the charms bar by moving the mouse to right top corner of the screen and in the search box, Start typing ‘control panel’ select ‘mouse’ Double click Dell Touchpad and disable on the application window by clicking Touchpad On/Off.

hi,
I have the exact same problem.
Recently I had to reinstall the system and since then the touchpad light does not work. I can disable/enable it via function keys, touchpad software, quickset... you name it. It turns off/on but the light is always off.

I got the same problem...
I think it was due to upgrading the system from win7 to win8.
The Touchpad is disabled/enabled via both the function key and Dell Touchpad software utility.Just the light doesn't work..:emotion-42:
